Dr. Barbara Davenport
Principal
Dr. Barbara Davenport brings extensive technical expertise from the private sector and over a decade of experience in teaching marketing education and computer technology at both secondary and post-secondary levels. She has excelled in leadership roles as an Assistant Principal, CTE Program Specialist, and Specialty Center Coordinator.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Master of Science in Business Technology specializing in Information Resource Management, Educational Specialist in Leadership Education Administration, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership Education Administration.
As a proud mother of two amazing children, she has learned that every child is uniquely different. Dr. Davenport believes in fostering collaborative partnerships between schools, communities, and families to make learning a meaningful experience for all students, inspiring them to be creative, innovative, and life-long learners.
Kevin Monroe

Mr. Kevin Monroe, a native of Newark, NJ and a graduate of Norfolk State University brings 25 years of Career & Technical Education experience to the Richmond Technical Center. In addition to teaching for seven years he has served as an Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director of Operations and Career & Technical Education in districts throughout Virginia and internationally in the United Arab Emirates.
He is a student focused educator adept in developing, implementing, and monitoring student success strategies while building the capacity of student and teacher leaders. Mr. Monroe understands that the cornerstone of a successful school is its ability to successfully engage with parents and community stakeholders. He looks forward to becoming actively involved in the Richmond community.
