The Pharmacy Technician Program at Richmond Technical Center (RTC) now holds the National ASHP Accreditation thanks to the hard work of Mrs. Tiffany Pierce, the program's director. Through her tireless efforts, Mrs. Pierce has achieved a significant milestone, placing RTC's students, teachers, and staff on an equal footing with other advanced pharmacy programs across the nation.

RTC students are shining brightly. Marquise Johnson was accepted into the RVA Cooks Program where he will also participate in an eight week program with Richmond Police Department (RPD) officers.
Moreover, Chakira Kamara and Ariyanna Thompson were accepted on the Young Adult Police Commission Board for this school year.
The Virginia Association of Science Teachers Donna Sterling Exemplary Science Teaching Award winner for the Commonwealth is Mrs. Julie Rivenbark. She will receive a $4,000 stipend for professional development, and it will be presented to her at the 2022 VAST Professional Institute. Moreover, she will be invited to the 2023 VAST PDI Conference to make a presentation on her experiences in the profession. Julie Rivenbark was the only teacher chosen from all science teachers throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The award money will be used for international professional development focusing on equity and inclusion in the classroom.
Charles Watson, Career Facilitator, received the CTE Golden Apple Award for jobs exceptionally accomplished.
