Outreach Program

Overview

Careers Outreach involves identifying and facilitating career experiences outside of the classroom for our students.  These experiences will include clinical experiences, cooperative education, internships, job shadowing, mentoring, service learning, community service, and student apprenticeships.

Business-Community Partnership Site Facilitator

Mr. Charles Watson joined Richmond Public Schools in August 2003 after leaving service in the federal government as a Human Resources Specialist. He served in various long term substitute positions in career and technical education from 2003-2008.  Afterwards, he became a career switcher, obtained a teaching license and has since served both as a teacher and a Careers Outreach Facilitator at RTC.  He holds a Masters of Science in Business Administration.    His greatest pride and contribution is coordinating, managing and maintaining business-community partnerships and volunteerism at the Richmond Technical Center.
